1. Operation of the website
This website is operated by the West Kanagawa Regional Administration Council*1.
In this website, “West Kanagawa Japan” refers to the two cities of Odawara and Minami-Ashigara and the eight towns of Nakai, Oi, Matsuda, Yamakita, Kaisei, Hakone, Manazuru and Yugawara, located in the western part of Kanagawa Prefecture.
The cities and towns of this region have been engaged in broad cooperation due to their historical and geographical cohesiveness. With the 2019 Rugby World Cup and 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in view, our aim in creating this website is to take the opportunity to promote the rich resources of West Kanagawa Japan to a wide audience so that they can get to know and visit the region.
This website is created in collaboration with the Kanagawa West Convention & Visitors Bureau, the regional cooperative destination marketing/management organization (DMO)*2 of West Kanagawa Japan (the two cities and eight towns in western Kanagawa region).

*1 West Kanagawa Regional Administration Council
The council was established in April 2010 to collectively conduct research and studies on responding appropriately to various changes in circumstances surrounding municipalities as well as finding solutions for the increasingly complex broad-regional issues, and to promote initiatives to integrate the region in the future. It consists of the cities of Odawara and Minami-Ashigara and the towns of Nakai, Oi, Matsuda, Yamakita, Kaisei, Hakone, Manazuru and Yugawara, as well as the Kanagawa prefectural government.
*2 Regional cooperative DMO
An organization tasked with marketing and managing the tourism of a region straddling multiple municipalities as an integrated destination.
